Brave 'Jessi Slaughter' Says Death Threats Won't Stop Her From Posting Videos on the Internet

The Florida seventh grader whose profanity-laced video prompted online death threats said today that she has no intentions of logging off the Internet, a decision that's backed by her parents.
Florida police investigate a case of extreme bullying online.
"I'm going to continue making my videos, I'm going to continue updating my Twitter and going on Stickam and stuff -- just going to be a little more careful with who sees what I'm doing,"
But her mother, Diane Leonhardt, said things will change in their house. While Jessi will not be banned from using the Internet, a detective will come by the house next week to sit with her and explain how use the Internet safely and responsibly.
Jessi's social life has largely been confined to her computer, most of her friends are online.
"I don't really get along with people from school that much," she said. "They don't like me because they see me and they think I'm weird."
She likes music and can play a little bit of guitar. She dreams of a career styling hair and makeup -- and maybe learning how to do body piercings.

She got what was coming to her. I don't see what the big deal is. She made death threats so she gets death threats. Don't talk big like that unless you are prepared for the consequences, which will never be the same. She done goofed in my opinion. And so did her parents. Her parents should have been paying attention to what she's been doing online, and if they had been videos like the ones she posted that started this whole mess never should have seen the light of day. But what do her parents do? Instead of ignoring the bullies, her father decides to feed the trolls by raging on youtube, in the process making himself look like an ass. And an idiot to boot.

This girl has an incredibly foul mouth. She also has posted partially nude pictures of herself. Much of the blowback has been outrage from her behavior. This is a perfect example of parents failing to monitor and regulate their tween's online habits and behaviors.

For starters, her mouth is out of control. I'm 22 and if I said half the things she says in front of my own parents, I would get slapped across the face for having a vulgar mouth. Secondly, she posted topless photos all over the internet which is just disgusting and wrong. So quit making her into a victim. If anything, all of this will teach her a lesson for being a spoiled little brat who can do what she wants, when she wants.
parents who let their 11 yo girls go online with a web cam unsupervised deserve this.

Pure and simple: if you don't want to get "hate", then don't spread hate. She bullied others now is complaining about backlash? It's her own fault. And why weren't her parents keeping watch over her online habits? The fault lies with her and her parents, she is NOT a victim.
11 yo girls sometimes run away from home and get turned into prostitutes or get murdered. some 11 yo old girls get online and get punked. this pales in comparison to what could happen to her so STFU!
