For better or for worse, I own an expensive place in Manhattan where all recent purchases are a matter of public record . If I knew what I know now, I would've bought it under an LLC, but I didn't. Now when you google my name along with 'new york', the property record comes up on the first page and I know virtual all NYC women know enough to look for that. This helps in some respects, but mostly it's a negative.

I got bored of FC (at least, of the main site, not the message board). There were times when I wouldn't update the main site for a week at a time. Eventually I moved all my attention to AdBrite, which wasn't boring (and was paying the bills), hired someone else to write FC. The quality sucked, I abandoned the site, and eventually it died pretty much on its own.

The message board also got super mean, but that wasn't why I shut it down. The main site was what most people think of as FC.

If I brought it back today, my heart wouldn't be in it.
